Land Cost

$1,440 Land cost is all-inclusive: meals, lodging (based on double occupancy), in-country transportation, insurance, interpreters, bottled water, sightseeing, etc.

Airfare Cost

Buckner can arrange all airfare travel. Air travel taxes and fees are determined at the time of ticketing (approximately $800-$1600). Trip participants are responsible for any baggage fees that may be charged on the departure day at the airline check-in.

Deadlines

June 1: Trip application and $250 non-refundable deposit due
July 1: 1/2 trip cost due; non-refundable deposit increases to $600
July 26: Balance is due in full (land cost and airfare)

Orientation

Orientation materials will be mailed out 6-8 weeks prior to departure and two conference calls will be held prior to departure.

Tentative Itinerary

Saturday, Aug. 10: Depart from the USA and arrive in Oaxaca, Mexico

Sunday, Aug. 11–Friday, Aug. 16:
During your time in Oaxaca, you will work with children at Buckner feeding centers and Community Transformation Centers in the city and surrounding communities. You will fit each child with a new pair of shoes and distribute humanitarian aid while building relationships with the children through an organized VBS program led by Buckner staff.

Saturday, Aug. 17: Depart Oaxaca, Mexico for the USA
